Individual Therapy in Pennsylvania
You may be the person everyone else relies on: the healthcare professional who spends all day caring for others, the high achiever who appears successful on the outside but is struggling with poor self-esteem, or someone who has spent years reliving the same painful patterns in relationships.
Therapy offers a space to unpack and understand what's keeping you stuck, and begin creating meaningful change. MD Therapy provides virtual counseling for adults across Pennsylvania seeking support with trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. Together, we'll work toward a life that feels more connected, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.
About Me
Meritt Drake, LCSW
I'm Meritt Drake, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy throughout Pennsylvania.
I help adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are healthcare professionals, helping professionals, and high-achieving individuals who spend much of their lives caring for others while struggling to prioritize themselves.
I draw from psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, cognitive approaches, and other evidence-based treatments to help clients better understand their experiences, process difficult events, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My goal is to provide a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and free of judgment, where you can explore challenges openly and move toward lasting growth.
My Approach
I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Every person brings a unique history, set of strengths, and reasons for seeking support. Rather than applying a predetermined approach, I take the time to understand your experiences and tailor treatment to your specific needs and goals.
My work integrates both insight-oriented and evidence-based approaches. Depending on your concerns, we may explore how past experiences continue to influence current patterns, develop practical coping skills, process traumatic experiences through EMDR, strengthen emotional regulation, or work toward greater self-understanding and resilience.
Above all, therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, build on your existing strengths, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
